LabCuff™ pharmacy-based robotic phlebotomy & lab-on-chip
A compact, unattended booth that performs ultrasound-guided venipuncture, vital-sign capture, and a full biochemical panel in 5–15 minutes — installed directly inside community pharmacies and outpatient clinics.
How LabCuff™ runs a session
The unit is engineered for unattended operation: one user, one single-use cartridge, and a complete diagnostic panel in minutes.
Automated venipuncture
The user sits, inserts their arm into a padded privacy sleeve, and the system performs ultrasound-guided vascular targeting with dual cuffs for stabilization.
Vitals & micro-lab routing
Blood is routed through a disposable microfluidic cartridge while the cradle captures blood pressure, HRV, SpO₂, temperature, and stress index in parallel.
On-screen & API results
Within 5–15 minutes, the booth displays findings, streams data to clinical systems via FHIR, and autoclenses the chamber with UV-C and antimicrobial mist.
Robotics, micro-lab, and compute stack
LabCuff™ combines vascular-access robotics, lab-on-chip analytics, and embedded GPU compute into a single deployable unit for pharmacies and outpatient sites.
Vascular access robotics
3-axis ultrasound head, dual pneumatic cuffs, and a sterilizable needle rail delivering 0.1 mm positional accuracy with auto-retract and multi-layer safety logic.
Lab-on-chip diagnostics
Single-use microfluidic cartridge with CBC, chemistry panel, hormone and inflammation markers, and vitamin / mineral status — no external centrifuge required.
Embedded compute & APIs
Orin-class GPU module, real-time Linux control, ultrasound inference, and a local LLM for patient interaction and trend analysis, exporting via FHIR to pharmacy and telemed partners.
Designed for unattended, pharmacy-grade operation
-
Zero-needle-view policy — patient never sees a needle; all vascular access is inside a sealed compartment.
-
Privacy-first architecture — compact booth with seated workflow, audio prompts, and no exposed robotics on the public side.
-
Straightforward deployment — standard power outlet, daily cartridge swap and waste management, optional UPS.
Signals of technical depth
The architecture is designed with regulatory and integration paths in mind: deterministic real-time control on the robotics side, isolated analytics compute, and healthcare-native data export.
Why pharmacies and health systems care
Phlebotomy is a choke point for diagnostics. LabCuff™ moves high-quality blood collection and analysis to the front line — pharmacies and outpatient hubs — without adding staff.
Revenue & deployment models
-
Walk-in diagnostics with per-test pricing.
-
Subscription programs for pharmacy chains and clinical networks.
-
Screening campaigns for chronic disease and population health.
-
Telemedicine referrals with immediate lab data at the point of call.
Why it wins
-
Removes the need for on-site phlebotomists in many settings.
-
Delivers hospital-grade diagnostics in a 1.0m × 1.2m footprint.
-
Built for high throughput: 4–6 patients per hour per unit.
-
Scales via hardware rollout, software updates, and cartridge sales.
